Free Software platforms that you are sure to love!
The first one is Slack. I absolutely LOVE this platform and we use it for all of our internal communications.
Slack has what are called channels. Each channel can be dedicated to a particular topic. So you can have your sales team on one channel, your operations team in another channel and so forth and so on. Where it gets cool is that you can create Channels for each of your clients where you can communicate with the security officer for that client. As long as you only assign that Officer to that single channel. You can add as many as you like for FREE. Gotta love it.
Slack includes calling, direct messaging, and even some screen sharing but I think you might have to upgrade to get all the features. This platform has streamlined our communications in ways I can’t even describe. It even integrates with many of the other software platforms that you currently use. Incredible!!!
Free Graphics Software? WHAT???
The second platform is Canva. As a business owner and or manager you probably know that marketing for your business is absolutely critical.
A big chunk of that marketing effort will rely on graphics. Graphics for your newsletters, for your website, for your blog, brochures and on and on. Until now if you didn’t know how to use one of those complicated graphic design software platforms or a graphic designer that you worked with; you were probably just out of luck.
In comes Canva. Canva is a software platform that allows anyone to create high quality graphics without investing tons of time studying art history. There’s nothing wrong with Art history, some of my best friends are artists. Canva is a winner.
The third platform that you have take advantage of in 2019 is probably in your pocket right now. That software is your smartphones video recording software.
I think I saw a statistic that said something like 75% of all marketers will be using video in their marketing efforts. Video is an easy way to connect with your potential customers and let them get to know who you are as a company.
You can record officer orientations, Officers on duty, supervisors on patrol, or any number of activities. It’s a great way to differentiate yourself from the competition.
