Can You Compete Against The National Guarding Companies’ Tech?

If you’ve ever thought “I wish the software that I am using to manage my security guard company worked better. Or if you’re looking for technology to manage your security guard company” you’re in the right place. You’ve probably heard me say this before, but as a small to medium-sized security guard company, I don’t believe that you are really competing against the national guarding companies. But I can also admit it sure feels like it sometimes, especially when it has to do with Technology. And in reality, that feeling is the reason I started OfficerReports.com.

Your Company Needs OfficerReports.com To Compete Against National Guarding Companies?

I started OfficerReports.com back in 2012 after Securitas beat me out on some business that I KNEW I should have won. I’d worked with the prospect for close to a year and I was about 2 days from winning that contract. But at the last minute, and to Securitas’ credit, they threw in some software that they were selling at the time which my company didn’t have a competing product for. #losing

After that loss, I promised myself that would never happen to me again. At that point, the idea that eventually became OfficerReports.com was born. OfficerReports.com’s mission, from day one, has been to make sure that small to medium-sized security guard companies would be able to compete against the national  guarding companies in the area of technology.

Because my background was DEFINITELY not in technology, I went about building OfficerReports.com the way that you or any other security guard company owner or manager would build it.

Core Ideas Behind OfficerReports.com

First, I made sure that the software was, and is, simple to use for all of our clients. There is nothing worse than having to block out 2 weeks of your life to learn new software. Even worse is having to pay someone to set up your software. When I sign up for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, or YouTube, I don’t recall having to pay a setup fee to get started. You should intuitively understand the software and it should just work.

Second, the software is built around the way that you, your officers, and your customers are used to doing business. As an example, when the officer needs to do an incident report, they just do an incident report. It makes no sense for your software not to have the reports that your officers need. And why should they have to use a QR code to do an incident report, or get their supervisors to write a report for them? Again, the system should work the way that you and your officers are used to working.

Third, there is nothing more frustrating than needing some assistance and not being able to talk with someone to help answer your question. We’ve all been there, it can be so frustrating that it will make you go home and OC spray your cat…not really, but you know what I mean.  That’s why we assign each of our customers a Client Experience Manager who is directly responsible to make sure that you get all of your questions answered. We even give you their phone number and email address. If you’re really nice, we might even give you their cell phone number. Consider your Customer Experience Manager your Happy Ambassador.

Software doesn’t have to be difficult, especially your security guard management software when you use OfficerReports.com. Sign-up for a free 30-day trial to see just how easy it is. No credit card required!
